Update for Friday, March 9
This week's Update is going to focus on a professional growth opportunity for our teachers and staff.
Over the year, I have shared several resources from the Main Idea. This subscription service worked great for me as a busy school leader. Professional reading often seemed to fall low on my Priority or "To Do" list. Jenn David-Lang's work with Main Idea provides a summary of a top-notch professional book often with ideas on how to apply this summary for you and your team.
This week I am sharing her summary from the book, Blended Vocabulary for K-12 Classrooms: Harnessing the Power of Digital Tools and Direct Instruction.
I am including a zip folder with the following tools for you to use:
- An email from Jenn David-Lang providing a short overview of the resources.
- A copy of the Main Idea summary for this professional resource.
- A ready to use PowerPoint: Improving Schoolwide Vocabulary Instruction
- A teacher resource packet.
