Two High Schools Questions Issues from Sonja.  Email her at skolkmeier@greensburg.k12.in.us with your feedback.
I'm looking for a couple answers to two high school issues/questions.

1. Does your school take a stance on clothing apparel that has the confederate flag on it? We have two students that a teacher that has "raised a red flag." Was reaching out to see what you might do.

2. What has your school decided to do with the stance of giving/not giving the ISTEP+ Grade 10 Science exam? The statement below is from the DOE.

018 ISTEP+ GRADE 10 SCIENCE ASSESSMENT
(Please Read Carefully)

ISTEP+ Grade 10 Science Assessment replaces ISTEP+ High School Biology.
What this means:
·       Previous guidance regarding reporting students for the High School Biology assessment no longer applies.
·       Students should participate in the ISTEP+ Grade 10 Science assessment (9920) prior to the end of their cohort’s 10th grade year.
·       This assessment may be administered to students in the Spring of their 9th or 10th grade year, regardless of their enrollment status inBiology I. (It is a local decision whether students will participate in 9th or 10th grade.)
·       Students currently enrolled in grade 8 and grades 11-12 will not participate in the ISTEP+ Grade 10 Science assessment.

Thanks for your input! Wishing you quiet days leading up to break!

INALI Cohort #4 Blog: November 30

For the Team!
·      Please keep our colleague Adam Barton and wife, Julie, in your prayers.  Julie is having a major surgery on Friday.  Pray that the doctors have wisdom with her surgery, and the planning of follow-up treatments after her recovery!
·      It was great to see everyone at the AP conference!  I also trust you had a great Thanksgiving Break with your families, too!
·      Southern Hancock’s Education Foundation’s Arts Gala was last night.  This is our primary fundraiser.  As the president of our foundation, my hat is off to the dedicated volunteers who put together a great event, and for all the great supporters who made the event a GREAT success!
